Mackenzie’s Senior Portraits

Mackenzie wanted to get her senior portraits taken in Caribou. I loved the idea since it was something different and the stone buildings up there make for a great backdrop.  She was a real trooper as it was very windy (as usual) and a little chilly. But the wind did great things to her hair and she seemed pretty immune to the cold. I, however, was a real wimp and wore layers and layers of clothing.

Creative Senior Portraits

Claire’s senior portrait session turned out great. She was well prepared and had lots of creative ideas. Plus, she was so open to trying different things. Here’s some of her shots. I have to say, I had some seniors this year that really came up with some terrific ideas for their session.

More Seniors

This has been a very busy fall for me and I have loved meeting so many talented and beautiful (and handsome) high school seniors. I am honored that they have chosen me to take their senior portraits!  Here are a few of the wonderful seniors I shot last week.

Meredith

Meredith used to live down the street from me. She was only 5 or 6 years old when she first moved into “the neighborhood.” A very sweet and pretty little girl I remember seeing her playing with the other kids. Her family moved down to Boulder a few years ago and I haven’t seen her since. Except today when I took her senior portraits. I couldn’t believe all that time had passed and she was already graduating from high school. And, she reminded me, how much the kids liked playing on “Jacob’s Rock” (named after my son Jacob). I had almost forgotten about that. It was nice to reconnect to all those memories.
