Hi – I’m Sue Daniels and I am a portrait and wedding photographer. I live in the small town of  Nederland, Colorado where I also have my studio.  I love working out of my studio because  I get to play with lots of different lighting setups (and believe me, I have a lot of strobes, backgrounds and light modifiers to play with).   I’m always exploring ways to create different looks – from glamor and beauty to edgy and surreal  – and I’m always pushing myself to go beyond my own  boundaries.  So, if you come to my studio, I may at some time during the shoot say “Oh – do you mind if I try something different?” And lots of times this “something different” turns out to be something great and you will love it! I also love working in my studio because I can just walk upstairs and get a nice, fresh, hot cup of coffee. Yep -  my studio is in my home.  What can I tell you – it’s a great commute.   That being said, about 75% of my work is on location. Location work has it’s own rewards. It’s fun and challenging.  Anything (and everything) can happen. Working on location you have to be a fast thinker, a problem solver, an innovator.  You have to be able to see a special moment in a split second and then “click” get it. And you have to be able to adapt to whatever comes you way. Ahh..that’s the real skill.
